Haryana fast bowler has become just the 3rd Indian to claim all 10 wickets in an innings in a Ranji Trophy match. Even Anil Kumble and Subhash Gupte couldn’t achieve this feat in Ranji Trophy.
History was created in the Ranji Trophy 2024 match between Haryana and Kerala on Friday as pacer Anshul Kamboj became on the third Indian to claim all 10 wickets in the innings in the history of the tournament. Kamboj emulated the feat of Premansu Chatterjee for Bengal vs Assam in 1956-57 season and Pradeep Sunderam for Rajasthan against Vidarbha in 1985-86 season.
The former Mumbai Indians pacer ran through Kerala side, which was missing Sanju Samson, to claim 10/49 in to bundle them out for 291 in 116.1 overs. While leg-spinners Anil Kumble and Subhash Gupte achieved this feat in Test cricket, Kamboj is the one who managed to take all 10 wickets in Ranji Trophy tournament.
Kamboj becomes just the sixth Indian bowler to claim all 10 wickets in a first-class match. The others are Premansu Chatterjee, Pradeep Sunderam, Debasis Mohanty (East Zone vs West Zone, 2001), Anil Kumble and Subhash Gupte.
