MS Dhoni was seen in a viral video in Goa on the sidelines of the ad shoot ahead of the IPL 2025 Retention Day on October 31.
Former India captain MS Dhoni has kept everyone waiting on his plans for the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season. It is still not clear whether Dhoni will turn out for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) again in the IPL 2025 season.
However, the former CSK skipper is definitely in top shape physically as was evident in a viral video on social media. Dhoni was seen flexing his muscles in a sleveless white t-shirt coming out of a vanity van in Goa during an ad shoot.

The video of Dhoni soon went viral on social media which his fans drooling over is new looks as well as his physique. According to media reports, Dhoni has informed CSK officials that he will not be available to meet them before October 28.
It seems apparent that Dhoni is busy with his ad shoot commitments and unable to meet the CSK officials as a result on his return from the United States earlier this month.
A report from Sports Tak website claimed that Dhoni has not confirmed his availability till now and he is expected to meet CSK officials either on 29th or 30th October. October 31 is the official deadline for franchises to submit their retention list.
With the mega auction for the IPL 2025 approaching, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan is hopeful that one of their most decorated players will confirm his participation before October 31 and return for another appearance for his beloved franchise.
“We have still no confirmation from him, though we will like him to continue playing for us. Hope he will confirm before 31st (October),” Viswanathan told ESPNcricinfo website recently.
October 31 is the date that has been set for all ten franchises to submit their list of retained players to the IPL ahead of the mega auction. There is speculation that Dhoni could be retained as an ‘uncapped’ player for Rs 4 crore since he has not appeared for Team India since 2019.
However, it remains to be seen whether Dhoni will agree to such a massive pay-cut to play in another season of the IPL.
