Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma enjoyed a romantic lunch at a South Indian restaurant in Mumbai ahead of the Indian batter’s departure for Australia.
Former India captain Virat Kohli is enjoying a relaxing time in Mumbai at home with his Bollywood star wife Anushka Sharma, daughter Vamika and son Akaay. After a forgettable thee-Test series against New Zealand, where Kohli scored only 93 runs as India were whitewashed 3-0, Kohli is preparing himself for the India vs Australia 2024 five-match series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy which starts in Perth on November 22.
Recently, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma enjoyed a relaxing lunch date in Mumbai. The couple were spotted at a South Indian café called Benne Bombay, situated in Bandra area in Mumbai.
The couple who refrain from having chicken or non-vegetarian food, also didn’t have any paneer and chose to stay away from Italian cuisine in Mumbai as well. From crispy dosas to flavorful idli podi, the couple savoured the best of South Indian cuisine.
The official Instagram handle of the restaurant shared a series of pictures from the couple’s visit. Virat Kohli was seen posing for a photo with Anushka and the restaurant staff.
The handle also shared image of Kohli’s food bill which featured Benne Masala Dosa and Benne Podi plain dishes among other things. The post was liked by Anushka Sharma as well. Kohli also signed a cap for one of the staff with the message ‘Go Benne!’
On the occasion of Karwa Chauth last month, the couple attended a kirtan by Krishna Das. Krishna Das, known as the Rock Star of Yoga, combines traditional Indian chanting with modern music.
Several photos and videos of the couple enjoying the kirtan circulated on social media. Kohli was seen wearing a green sweatshirt and blue denims.
