Priyansh Arya made history in the Delhi Premier League on August 31 by hitting six sixes in an over and later notching his second century of the season, cementing his position as the top run-scorer in DPL 2024.
New Delhi: Priyansh Arya, who made his maiden appearance for Delhi in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, has etched his name into the history books as the batter smashed six sixes in an over in the Delhi Premier League on August 31, Friday.
Priyansh, who represents South Delhi Superstarz side captained by Ayush Badoni, he achieved the feat in the 12th over against North Delhi Strikers, relentlessly targeting left-arm spinner Mannan Bhardwaj. After conceding 24 runs in his first over, Bhardwaj’s figures stood at 0/60 in 2 overs by the end of South Delhi’s 12th over.

Priyansh, the left-handed batsman, showcased his power and technique by using his feet to smash two sixes and dominate the ball with four additional powerful strikes.
The 23-year-old Priyansh reached his century in the 15th over of the innings, marking his second ton of the season. He previously scored 107* off 55 balls in a match against Purani Dilli 6. His partner, Ayush Badoni, also achieved a century in the same game.
As of now, Priyansh leads the run charts in DPL 2024, accumulating over 450 runs.
