The record is currently held by former West Indies player Dwayne Bravo, who has achieved 631 wickets across 546 innings. In comparison, Rashid Khan has taken 625 wickets in 452 innings. The 26-year-old cricketer from Afghanistan made his T20 debut in 2015 and has proven to be a valuable player for every team he has represented.
The leg-spinner is presently competing for MI Cape Town in the SA20 tournament, and there is a strong chance that he could set a new record during this event. He has taken three wickets in four games so far while maintaining impressive economy. In contrast, Rashid has participated in 96 T20 internationals and has claimed 161 wickets.
In addition to his international cricket career, he has primarily participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
