New York: The United States of America may have lost the T20 World Cup 2024 match versus heavyweights India on Wednesday in New York, but they managed to win hearts. They also managed to turn the Indian captain Rohit Sharma to becoming their fan. Following the seven-wicket win and a qualification spot in the Super 8s, Rohit lavished praise on USA for the progress they have made as a cricketing nation.
“Lot of these guys have played cricket together, very happy to see their progress. Saw them last year in MLC as well, they are all hard-working guys,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation.
