India struggled initially as their top order faltered, but Tilak Varma steadied the innings and led India to victory. He faced 58 balls and hit 8 fours and 2 sixes during his innings.
Tilak Varma’s innings of 72 runs has secured his place in the record books. He has become the first batsman in the world to score over 300 runs in T20 internationals without getting out among full member countries.
